Have you ever found the perfect resource, only to realize that the jargon won’t work for you as a Canadian teacher?

Being a Canadian teacher can be kind of a struggle because so many resources are geared towards U.S. classrooms!

Nine years ago, there was a lack of Canadian teacher voices online, and that’s when I started my blog, Madly Learning. Fast forward nine years and Madly Learning has grown to something that I am so proud of. The community that has developed around Madly Learning is the most amazing community out there. Thank you for that!

In the spirit of that, I am talking about what makes Canadian teachers different from other teachers you see online in this episode.

In Today’s Episode We Discuss:

  • The difference between Canadian and American teachers
  • Classroom jargon that is different in Canada
  • Ways that teaching is structured differently in Canada
  • How grade levels are split differently
  • The difficulties of finding materials for a Canadian classroom
  • Why we wanted to make our teaching resources available in Canadian dollars
  • How to save money on your teaching resources

My team and I have been working super hard to bring you this store in Canadian dollars in time for you to explore it over the summer. We are so excited to support you in getting ready for back to school. You can access it now at www.madlylearning.com/store

Remember, if you would like help and support with issuing purchase orders, please email us at info@madlylearning.com! We will help to walk you through how to submit a purchase order for your school so that you can start using some of your school funds to purchase the resources that you need.

Lastly, don’t forget to join our Online Teacher Party at www.madlylearning.com/party!
